Maria Giuseppina Pollock

Maria Giuseppina Pollock, age 94, died peacefully on Thursday, November 1, 2018. She was born on March 18, 1924 in Naples, Italy; the daughter of Beniamino and Angela (nee Bruno) Pocini. Maria was a member of Assumption Grotto Church in Detroit, Michigan. She regularly volunteered at the church and at the Holy Cross Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She had an incredible talent for cooking and sewing. She used her sewing abilities as a seamstress at the American Flag and Banner for about 10 years in the 1960's. Beloved wife of the late Hugh Pollock for 64 years. Loving mother of Ronald Pollock (Hao), Marcus Pollock (Donna), Antonio Pollock , and Gregory Pollock (Deborah). Cherished grandmother of Michele Pollock (Vincent Humphrey), Sue DaLuna (Phillip), Ronald Pollock, Eric Pollock (Melissa), Kyle Pollock, Nicole Pollock, and Anthony Pollock. Great-grandmother of Charlotte Pollock and Owen Pollock. Sister of the late Lorenzo Porcini (Titina), Salvatore Porcini (Pina), and Antonio Porcini (Velia). Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. Rosary 7:00 pm. Instate Monday, November 5, 2018 from 9:30 am until time of funeral Mass 10:00 am at Assumption Grotto Church, 13770 Gratiot Avenue, Detroit, MI 48205. Interment Assumption Grotto Cemetery immediately after. Memorial contributions to the Assumption Grotto Church would be appreciated.
