Marian C. Frame (nee Trout) died peacefully in her sleep in her Grosse Pointe Woods home on July 14, 2013. She was born October 20, 1971 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Susan and Harry Trout. She graduated from Star of the Sea high school. Mrs. Frame was the mother of three children and worked as a home care provider. She loved her worked and was always willing to go "above and beyond" the requirements of her job. She also loved riding her horse, fishing, bowling, and boating. Her friends knew her as a person who loved to discuss politics. She was a long time member of the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club. Her pal Heathcliff (a Springer Spaniel) was always aboard when she went boating with her family on summer afternoons. Heathcliff had anchored out with the family so often that he became friends with several other dogs whose boats were frequently anchored nearby. Marian loved to watch her girls compete in sailing regattas, swim meets, and riding competitions. As a teenager Marian rode at the Grosse Pointe Hunt Club. She was very proud of the fact that her horse Snazzy was chosen to be the first horse to enter the club's new barn during dedication ceremonies. A picture of her leading Snazzy into the barn hangs in her father's office. When Snazzy fell ill one evening at his new home in Richmond, Marian drove to Richmond and nursed him through the night. She loved people. She also loved horses and dogs, almost as much as she loved people! Mrs. Frame is survived by Matt, her loving husband of 17 years; her daughters Madison, McKenzie, and Mary Eleanor; her parents and brother John, nieces Hannah Trout and Emma Frame, nephew Will Frame and her grandmother Mary Lois Sommer. She is also survived by her "Uncle Roger". She was predeceased by her grandparents Warren ("GG') and Marian ("Granny") Trout, grandfather Robert Addy, and close friend "Uncle Bruce". Visitation will be at A.H. Peters Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 17th. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 o'clock on July 18th at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Grosse Pointe Woods. Marian will be dearly missed by her family and her many friends. Donations may be made to Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1820 Mt. Elliot, Detroit, MI 48207 or to The Frame Daughters Education Fund care of Matthew Frame.
