

Marilyn June King Marilyn June King, 84, died Saturday October 26, 2013. She was born on June 30, 1929. To Carl and Estelle (Sieb) Smith. She is survived by her son Rob King (Diane), her two daughters Nancy King Moretz (Charles) and Suzy Berschback (Chip), her former husband, Robert Skipwith King Jr., her two cherished granddaughters Charlotte and Madeline Berschback, and her loving sister Shirley Ireland, and many nieces and nephews. A life long Grosse Pointe resident, Marilyn's happiness in life was her family. She enjoyed visiting and traveling with her children and grandchildren, gardening, and spending time with her many cherished friends. A 1947 graduate of Grosse Pointe High School and later attended Albion College, she worked at Packard Motor Company during the 1940's and 50's, and after raising a family, at Hickey's Walton Pierce for many years. Marilyn has the special gift of making people feel loved in the warmth of her presence. The world is a better place because of the joyful, loving way she shared her life with others. She always looked on the sunny side of life, lived by the golden rule, forgave without question and gave more than she took. Visitation will be held at A.H. Peters Funeral Home on Friday, November 1st from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be celebrated on Saturday November 2nd at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 375 Lothrop in Grosse Pointe Farms Michigan (48236). In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or Grosse Pointe South High School.
