Mark Steven Kistner

Kistner, Mark S. Age 53. April 2, 2009. Mark was born on August 16, 1955 at St John Hospital in Detroit. He was the oldest child of Ann and Leo M. Kistner. Mark graduated from Lakeview High School, Northern Michigan University, and Hamlin Law School in Minnesota. He practiced law in our community for many years and was a member of the State Bar of Michigan. Mr. Kistner loved helping others which led him to become a volunteer firefighter with the Metamora Fire Department. Mark was a true "outdoorsman". He enjoyed skiing, ice climbing, golfing, and kayaking. His true passion was scuba diving and he obtained the title of Master Scuba Instructor. He is survived by his mother Ann Kistner, sister Cindy Troyanovich (Michael), and niece Samantha. His father Leo M. Kistner passed away in 2002. Visitation Monday 9:30 AM until time of Funeral at Noon at A.H. Peters Funeral Home 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Pastor Bryan Hochhalter from Grace Communtiy Church will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Metamora Fire and Rescue, 730 West Dryden, Metamora, MI 48455. Mark will be buried privately next to his father at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Twp.
