
Born in Detroit to Anne and the late Paul Kochan. Mark was a man loved by anyone he met for his endless selflessness and giving attitude that he carried with him his whole life. A natural outdoorsman, Mark enjoyed fishing, barbeques, and time spent around the fire pit with his family and also the friends that Mark always treated like family. Mark would plan picnics and took any chance he could get to go to the park with his grandkids who adored their papa. Mark was a very talented tradesman much to his kids’ benefit when he always knew how to fix things seemed to always find odd jobs around the house that needed “messing around†on to keep himself busy. He will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, extended family, and friends who survive him.
Beloved husband of the late Sherri Kochan for 30 years. Dear father of Jason Kochan, Mark (Susan) Kochan, Gina (Robert) Koenigsmann, Kimberly (Stephen) Brown, David Kochan, Joseph Kochan, and Amber Kochan. Cherished grandfather of Gavin, Chase, Lucas, Reagan, Brielle, Billy, and Kalie. Loving brother of Patricia (Bob) Mellas, Joann (Jim) Price, David (Sharon) Kochan, Karen (Bill) Abraham, and Greg (Michelle Dunski) Kochan. Son-in-law of Carol Hartsell. Brother-in-law of Ronald Bousquette. Long-time friend of Mark Estrada. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation Friday, January 1st from 2 until 9 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, Warren with at 7pm Rosary service. The family will be In-state Saturday January 2nd at 10:30 am until time of Funeral Mass at 11 am at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 22851 Lexington Avenue, Eastpointe. Burial to take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp.
