Mary Ferrari, 69, a Grosse Pointe Woods resident, died July 28th after a recurrence of breast cancer. She died at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 15, 1948, in Weston, W.Va., to Charles and Susan Caine. She was raised in Detroit and graduated from St. Rita Catholic High School. Mary was an avid reader who enjoyed gardening, beachgoing, cooking and spending time with friends. Most of all, she loved being a grandmother and spending time with her grandchildren. Mary is survived by her husband, Gary Ferrari; daughters, Jennifer Ferrari and Kristen McLeod (Derek); grandchildren, Madeline, Devin, Christian and Ben; sister, Susan Tyszkiewicz (Bob) and several nieces and nephews.
