Mary "Kay" C. Murray

Mary "Kay" Carol Murray, age 77 of Warren, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 2, 2016. She was born in Mallory, West Virginia on January 17, 1939; the daughter of Thomas Henry and Maudie (nee Redmond) Barnes. Kay was a dedicated homemaker while her children were young. Once they were grown, she worked as a hairdresser in a shop that Donald had built in their basement. She was an avid reader and puzzle solver. She was great on her tablet and enjoyed gaming and socializing. She was an excellent cook and baker, baking homemade fudge, pies and cakes almost daily. Her greatest love was her family and she relished every moment spent with her grandchildren. Kay reunites with her beloved husband of 58 years, Donald, who preceded her in death on April 29, 2015. She was the loving mother of Donald (Mary), Janice (Tony) Dattero and Amy (Richard) Campbell. Treasured grandmother of Megan (Derek) Fulk, Erika (Charlie) Stein, Erin (Adam) Vincent, Shannon (fianc David Tauck) Murray, Brittany Campbell, Carly Campbell and Richie Campbell. Proud great-grandmother of Braden Fulk, Paige Fulk, June Stein and Zachary Vincent. Kay is also survived by one brother, two sisters and predeceased by seven other siblings. She is also survived by many caring nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and her two loyal granddogs; Maggie and Nellie. Kay's family will receive friends on Saturday, March 5th from 11:00am until time of service 3:00pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile), Warren. Pastor Mark Hetzner will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation.
