Mary Joyce Monteleone, 61, of Harper Woods passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Beaumont Hospital Grosse Pointe. She was born on August 24, 1960 in Grosse Pointe to the late James Sr. and Joyce (Nee: Holford) Monaghan.

Mary’s love of life was immense. She was affectionately known to her friends and family as Mimi, and Mimi knew how to have fun. She could brighten every room she entered with the warmth of her laughter, just like she could captivate all those around with her special brand of humor and storytelling.

More than just the life of the party, she was the light at the center of her family’s world. As a wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt, she spoiled her loved ones with generosity and affection. From presents and treats to kind words and hugs, she spared no effort or expense in making everyone around her feel loved.

Mary was as true a sweetheart as anybody has known. She was like a cup overflowing with laughter and life. Her loss is immeasurable, and she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her loving husband, Anthony “Tony” Monteleone; her three children, Kelly Page-Iacovoni (Thomas), Nicklas Monteleone (Daieja), and Isabella Monteleone; her five grandchildren, Jackie Iacovoni, Lillian Iacovoni, P.J. Page, Morgan Page, Lilah Page; her five brothers and sisters, Diane Monaghan (Kurt), Lynda Orzechowski (David), Michael Monaghan (Charlotte), Patricia Miller (William), and Mark Monaghan (Peggy). Numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many close friends, also survive her.

Mary is predeceased by her loving parents and her eldest brother, James Monaghan Jr., as well as her cherished son-in-law Christopher Page.
