Mary Joan Schulte

Mary Joan Schulte, age 84, died on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. She was born on August 7, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan. She was a registered nurse for over 40 years. Joan loved her family, cards, bingo and was an avid fan of University of Michigan sports programs. She is a former member of St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Warren, Michigan and St Mary Catholic Church in Port Sanilac, Michigan. Joan loved living on the water in the Port Sanilac area and her absolute #1 was her family.

Beloved wife of the late Earl Joseph Schulte. Loving mother of Steven (Lynn) Schulte, Gregory (Terri) Schulte, Kerry (Robert) Krmel, Patrice (David) Brisson, and the late Suzanne (surviving husband Martin) Ovstedal. Cherished grandmother of Ryan (Amelia) Schulte, Erik Ovstedal, Kristen Ovstedal, Samuel (Andrea) Schulte, Kara Krmel, Joseph (Jackie) Brisson, and Benjamin Schulte. Great-grandmother of 6. Dear sister of John Hoffman. Predeceased by her sister Jane May and her parents, Sam and Mary Hoffman.

Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Detroit, Michigan. A memorial service is being planned at St. Peters Catholic Church in Mount Clemens in the near future.
