Mr. and Mrs. Levette, I cannot express enough my feelings of sadness upon hearing about Matt's passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Matt as one of my students during his early teenage years and remember him as young, vibrant and happy. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Uncle Rich, Aunt Sophie and Lisa: I just arrived back in Atlanta and thought of you and Matt the whole way home. Fr. Michael's sermon today was so wonderful and I vowed to myself I would carry his uplifting words in the days to come. Upon entering the airport tonight, I found that difficult to do. But as I sat in my seat on the plane, I saw an incredible sunset and of course, thought of Matt; and it continued, as the plane took off, there was a beautiful full moon rising, I thought of Matt, the plane flew near Belle Isle and thought of Matt's friend's tribute about their walk a couple weeks ago. The entire flight home, I saw the full moon and thought of Matt. Then, I got in my car, and could see the full moon through my sun roof my whole drive home. As I arrived home and went to close my blinds in my bedroom, I again saw the full moon. I concluded then, Matt was telling me (like Fr Mike said), "all will be ok, I am at peace." I also end this most difficult day happy knowing Matt was loved by so many incredible people. I love you very much and you continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.  Don

Dear Sophie & Rich, It's hard to understand why God called your young son home. Surely it's because he knew how very special Matt was. It's always sad to lose a loved one but we must trust they have gone on to a better place. May God bless him. His spirit lives on.

Sophie and Richard I cant even imagine the loss of a child. Matt was such a special person with such a caring personality. I will never forget when we moved into Harper Woods and Carrie didnt have any friends, Carrie and Matt were in kindergarten. Matt was the first person to make friends with Carrie and I cant tell you what that meant to her. I remember Carrie telling me many times that Matt was her best friend. They spent so much time together and Carrie truly loved him like a brother/best friend. It is so hard to believe he is gone, what a terrible loss to everyone. Matt will always be in our hearts and I know we will never forget him. I pray that he gives you signs that he is still around., because I know his sweet presence will be forever here. Matt, A year ago we were probably sitting around and freaking out about a nursing exam. I still remember the night that I met you freshmen year. We have so many great memories together...I just want you to know that I love you so much. I am going to miss you every second of every day. You were such a great friend and you would have made such an amazing nurse. You are one of the coolest people I have evern known and I will miss you with all of my heart. I'll remember you for your cute smile, kind heart, and amazing personality. I know you are up there somewhere. You are going to make such a handsome angel. Love you Matt! I miss you so much.
