Maureen Kathleen Gray

Maureen Kathy Gray, age 65, died peacefully on Thursday evening, January 13, 2011 at Providence Hospital in Southfield. She was born on September 22, 1945 in Detroit, the daughter of Charles D. and Irene V. Gray. Kathy grew up on the eastside of Detroit and graduated from Servite High School. She completed two years of college at Macomb County Community College. Ms. Gray began her career at Detroit Bank & Trust in Detroit and through the years and several name changes, retired from Comerica in 2007. She had worked in the computer, payroll and human resources departments. Kathy enjoyed crocheting, reading, crafts and volunteering her time for charitable organizations. She was a member and a past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #2495 East Detroit Aerie and a former member of the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxillary #2545 in downtown Detroit. Kathy is survived by her loving sister Diana Gail Cerba and her nephew Jason Cerba. The funeral for Ms. Gray will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 18, 2011 at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods. Visitation will be from 1-9 p.m. Sunday and Monday.
