Michael John Cronin

Michael Cronin passed away peacefully on November 2, 2018 at the age of 78. He was born on November 8, 1939 in Grosse Pointe; son of James and Eily (nee Keohane) Cronin. Michael proudly served in the United States Coast Guard. On December 28, 1963 Michael married Sharon Tuttle in Iroquois Avenue Church in Detroit. He moved to St. Clair Shores and lived in the same house for 50 years. The couple enjoyed 42 years of marriage until Sharons passing in 2005. Michael had a passion for sports. He played baseball and hockey and would go to Florida during spring training. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He was a great conversationalist who could strike up a conversation with anyone. His biggest love of life was spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was proud of his daughters Kelly Cronin (Dan Clements) and Peggy Cronin (Scott Faoro); and son Jay (Ann) Cronin. He adored his grandchildren Aidan, Griffin, Xander, and Lucy. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. A private family service will be held and a memorial luncheon will take place Saturday, November 24th at noon at City Kitchen, Grosse Pointe.
