Michael Raymond Kilian

Michael Raymond Kilian, age 73, born February 14, 1944 went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 8, 2017. He lived in Warren, Michigan for over 51 years and retired from GM Powertrain where he worked for over 38 years. Michael is survived by his beloved wife Judith, children Michael and Kimberly (Raymond), grandchild Elizabeth, sister Patricia, niece Deborah, and nephew Chris. He was preceded by his father Milo, mother Marjorie, and niece Margie. Mike loved nature, animals, and photography, including developing pictures in his darkroom. Many photo albums were filled traveling around the country in the family motorhome. The family often camped at their favorite campground, Woods & Waters, and enjoyed dirt bike riding in the nearby state park trails. His favorite vacation was traveling through the Canadian Rockies. After retirement, Mike and Judy enjoyed a number of cruises and toured several European countries including Austria, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, and a Mediterranean cruise for their 50th wedding anniversary in October 2014. Mike had a love for flowers, gardening and the pond he created in his backyard. He was very intelligent and you would often find him reading a book or writing his own sci-fi novel. He was a good story teller and loved to make people laugh. Mike had many other interest but most special to him was his personal relationship with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and spending time with his family and friends playing cards and board games. He was loved very much and will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Visitation Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. Funeral Monday, March 13, 2017 at 10:00 am at the funeral home. Interment Resurrection Cemetery, Clinton Township.
