Nancy Palmer Grunewald

Nancy Grunewald, 93, of Grosse Pointe passed away on March 21, 2017. She was born in Westwood, NJ to Melville and Mildred Palmer. Nancy received her degree as an RN in New Jersey. While working as a nurse at U of M Hospital she met Carson, her future husband. Nancy led a fulfilled family life with her husband and three children. Nancy was a member of Questers, GP Lawyers Wives, GP Garden Club and The GP United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing tennis, dancing, flower arranging and painting. The couple traveled the world together visiting its many wonders including theater, art, music and museums. Nancy is survived by her husband Carson (93) of 66 years, her son David (Denise) Grunewald, her daughter Donna (Scott) Johns, and her daughter Lisa (Daryl) Bailey. Nancy has seven grandchildren, a great-grandson, and a great-grand daughter. A Memorial Service will be held on Sat. April 8, 2017 at 11:00am at GP United Methodist Church, 211 Moross Rd. GPFarms. Family will greet guests before the service beginning at 10:15am. Immediately following the service, interment will be in the memorial garden just outside the sanctuary. A light lunch will then be served. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to GP United Methodist Church Endowment Fund, The Adrian College Endowment Fund, or a charity of your choice.
