Nikolaos A. Katsis

Nikolaos Katsis passed away on February 6, 2016 at the age of 76. He was born on October 23, 1939 in Corfu, Greece; son of Athanasios and Eftihia (nee Koronakis) Katsis. Nikolaos emigrated to Montreal, Quebec, Canada in 1963. On February 6, 1965, Nikolaos married Stavroula Alexandropoulos. The couple moved to Michigan in 1974. He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years Stavroula, his daughter Effie, and son Athanasios "Tom", and his grandson Nikolaos "Niko". He is survived by his sister Stilyiani Liakouras. He was predeceased by his parents and his sister Katerina Kastamonitis, and brothers Vasili, Kostantinos, and Christos. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 pm until 8:30 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. A Trisagion service will be held at 7:00 pm. Mr. Katsis will lie instate on Tuesday from 9:00 am until the time of the funeral at 10:00 am at St. John Greek Orthodox Church, 11455 Metro Parkway, Sterling Heights, MI 48312. Mr. Katsis will be entombed at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton Twp.
