To the Barnett family my sincere sympathy. I am in awe of your large family - 6 kids and all teachers! I was amazed when your mom shared that with me when we connected on FB just 5+ yrs ago after not seeing each other since your mom graduated from EMU in 1960, I think. She was a senior and I was a freshman and lived in Buell Hall next door to each other. Your mom was the reason I joined Alpha Xi Delta sorority. I remember when she and your dad were dating and what a beautiful couple they were. Her daily upbeat messages on FB were such an inspiration, always thinking of who she could help or lift up in some way. She will be missed. You have a beautiful family!

Barnett Family - I am deeply sorry for your loss.

As a young boy growing up across the street from the Barnett family I was inspired by your Mother's strength and drive during the most difficult circumstances. She taught me to continue to look for the positive in life deriving growth from your inner strength and support from those that truly love you.  RIP Pat or as I will always remember as “Mrs. Barnett”.

Love you so much, Aunt Pat. You were one of the sweetest ladies I have ever known. This world has truly been blessed to have such an angel as you grace it. Between growing up and now I will continue to appreciate all the knowledge you have given me.

My thoughts and prayers for your family. I have known your mom for many years and watched each and every one of you children come into this world! Your mother was a wonder person and an inspiration to me. I loved her SHE will be greatly missed. XO!

She lives on in all of you - children and grandchildren - who gave her such joy and purpose. She was filled with kindness and she was loved by many, including all the Decembers. May she rest in peace.

To the entire Barnett Family, I would like to offer my deepest condolences. I have such fond memories of your Mom and her support to me during my teaching career at WHS, That little community around the school was so close, and I felt honored to be a small part of it.
