Peter M. Pillette

Peter M. Pillette, age 17, died unexpectedly on July 9, 2011. Peter was born on July 21, 1993 in Detroit. In his early years, Peter grew up in St. Clair Shores and attended St. Joan of Arc Elementary School. While at St. Joan he participated in basketball, baseball and the Boy Scouts. When his family moved to Macomb Township, Peter attended Mohegan High School. Peter's hobbies included skateboarding, hunting and the usual things teenagers do. Peter is survived by his parents, David and Eileen Pillette; his siblings, Jacqueline M., Catherine A. and Philip D.; his grandmother Jean Marsh (Ronald); his step-grandmother, Sandi Pillette and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, David Pillette II and Eugene and Catherine Schulte. Visitation for Peter will be held from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m on Tuesday and Wednesday at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road in Grosse Pointe Woods. The Holy Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm Wednesday evening. His body will lie instate at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack at Overlake Street in St. Clair Shores from 9:30 a.m. Thursday until mass begins at 10:00 a.m. Monsignor G. Michael Bugarin will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions be made to the Msgr. Bass Scholarship Fund, c/o St. Joan of Arc School, 22412 Overlake Street, St. Clair Shores, MI 48080.
