Peter Wanderer

Peter Johann Wanderer, age 77, of Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026. He was born on January 11, 1949 in Berlin, Germany, to Andrew and Olga Wanderer. He leaves behind his sister Irene and her husband William (Mike) Bentley. Also very close family friend Susan and Gary Glaser. Their three children Irene, Gary and Melissa. He grew up surrounded by family , friends, faith and music.

Peter built a life centered on service, strong work ethic and deep love for his family especially his wife, Judith Wanderer.

He leaves behind his wife of over 40 years, Judy; daughter, Christina Lynne Wanderer and her fiancee, Edward Dallas Harris; son, Andrew Michael Wanderer, and daughter, Krista Semrau and her husband, Gerald Semrau.

Peter was very active in AA and was involved with the Turning Point meeting for over 40 yrs. He retired from the Budd Company after 40 yrs as a Millwright. Then worked as a Park Ranger at Windmill Park in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan.

Peter was a steady, and great example for a father and husband.

Visitation will be held at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI 48236, on August 21, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, with the Funeral to follow on August 21, 2026, at 3:00 pm.
