

Phil Reynolds Sr. passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on November 5, 2016. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on September 15, 1929; son of Charles and Mabel Reynolds. Phil served honorably and proudly in The United States Airforce during the Korean War as a radio operator and attained the rank of Staff Sargent. He earned five medals while serving. After the war, Phil was remained working for the Air Force at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana working for Boeing. He retired in 1984. He continued his professional career at Chrysler as a journeyman electrician retiring in 1994. He will be remembered as a proud man who was always a meticulous dresser. He loved to tell stories and would talk about his days in the service and his past accomplishments. Phil was an avid woodworker who could craft anything that he put his mind to. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. Phil married the love of his life, Sharon Burgess on August 7, 1976 at the residence of her sister Kathy in Warren. They enjoyed 38 years of marriage together until her death on July 7, 2015. Phil was proud of his son Phil Jr. and daughter Karen Zimnickas (Jeffrey). He adored his grandchildren Monica, Jeffrey (Jessica), Steffan (Brittany), and Steffanie. He leaves behind 7 great-grandchildren and his brother Stevie. He was predeceased by his parents and siblings Jack, Charles, and Maxine. Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 12 from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoehnerr, Warren. A prayer service will be held at 6:00 pm. Phil and his beloved Sharon will be interred together at Great Lakes National Cemetery in the spring of 2017.
