

Raquel Kosebutzki passed away on Christmas Eve at St. John Hospital with her family at her side. She was born in the Philippines in 1950 the daughter of Jesus and Purita (nee Mandia) Estor. Raquel is survived by her beloved husband James, her dear children daughter Crystal Kosebutzki (fianc James McCaffrey), her son Walter (Robin) and her grandson Weston. Several brothers and sisters in both the US and the Philippines also survive her. She is predeceased by her parents. Mrs. Kosebutzki graduated from the University of the East in the Philippines with a bachelor's degree as a registered nurse. She was a case manager at Henry Ford Hospital Main for ten years, and previously worked as a nurse at St. John and Mercy Hospitals. Raquel was active at her church, Our Lady Queen of Peace, for many years until its closure at which time she joined St. Joan of Arc where she led the St. Lorenzo Prayer Group. She enjoyed gardening both vegetable and flower and watching football, specifically University of Michigan Football and the New England Patriots. Visitation for Mrs. Kosebutzki will take place Monday 4-9 pm and Tuesday 1-9 pm with a Scripture Service at 7 pm at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. She will lie in state on Wednesday 9:30 am until time of the Mass of the Resurrection 10 am at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores. The family has requested that memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
