Richard Beckhold passed away peacefully on May 14, 2025. He was born on October 30, 1952 in Franklin, Indiana, son of Richard and Mary Beckhold. He is survived by his loving wife Mary. He was proud of his son Eric. He will be missed by his siblings Kathleen Shipton (David), Margaret Mary “Peggy” Casing (Don) and Andres Beckhold (Lin). He was predeceased by his parents and sister Ann Laise (Luigi). He is survived by many loving nieces and nephews on his side of the family and extended family members of the Strasz family. Richard was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 13419.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2- 8 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, Grosse Pointe Woods. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. He will lie instate on Monday at Assumption Grotto Church on Gratiot in Detroit from 9:30 am until the time of the Mass at 10:00 am.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Richard’s memory to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen or the Assumption Grotto Church.
