Richard Hubert Eckels died on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at the age of 88. Richard is the beloved husband of the late Louise F. Eckels; loving father of Dan (Sherree), Donald (Jennifer), and Leanne (Gary) Mulder; cherished grandfather of Shaun, Shayne, Shad, Shannon, Sarah, Elizabeth, Ken, Doug, Chris, and Andy; great-grandfather of 10; and brother of Audrey. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visiatation Friday, February 24, 2012 from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd., Warren. Funeral Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 12 Noon at the funeral home. Pastor Carl Lendt will be officitating. Interment will be 11:00 am (CST) on Monday, February 27, 2012 at the KanKakee Memorial Gardens, 15 S 3000E Rd., Kankakee, IL 60901.
