So sorry to hear of Rick's passing.. Was always kind and fun to be around at the station. Just be sure to bring the pie.. He would kid us.. Great at golf too, he will be missed.. May he rest in peace..

Rick will be missed by all he knew him. Rick was a good man, driver, and officer. He also was a proud husband and father. He was fun to work with and he kept you on your toes. May the sunshine of the Lord shine on his family while he rests eternally.

I am so saddened to hear of Rick’s passing. He was a gem to work with and a gentle soul. Truly, a great man. Rest In Peace, Chief.

I am so sorry to hear of RICK‘s passing. I worked with him at station five for a long time and he was a great guy and even a better firefighter. I also had the pleasure of playing softball with Rick and every time he get to bat he would say Strohs power. Around the station we always used to call him dick stone. He was also a good one of giving out nicknames.

Sorry to hear of Rick's passing, my condolences to Rick's family. I met Rick back the early 60's in High School, we had a few classes together at Pershing High School. Lost track of him until I saw his name or pix in the newspaper when he became a Warren Firefighter. I didn't work any shift with Rick other than a few buddy reliefs. Rick always had a smile anytime I ran across Him. He sure was one of the good guys.  Rest In Peace my Classmate and local Bro.

Memories of Rick are those of him being such a kind, caring and loving man. Take comfort in knowing that he was a SPECIAL person. His journey did not end, he is now the Guardian Angel watching over you!

It has been a pleasure to know Rick over the years. First meeting him on the  WFD and hearing his stories about how they kicked the cops asses in their football games back in the early 70s. Rick became a permanent member of our annual "Up North" golf outing crew for over 20 years, everyone enjoyed his stories and his golf tips. The boys are going to miss you Rick, may you rest in peace.

Rick was a great guy who had high expectations for all around him including himself. He was always willing to help us. He respected everyone he met. He was a great neighbor and I know he will be missed by Lorry and Jennifer.

I am very sorry to hear about Ricks passing. I saw him at the Christmas party and he looked great. he was a good man and a respected firefighter. My condolences to his family and friends. He will be missed.

I met Rick in 1965. We were members of the Filthy Few Racing Team, a car club whose members had a propensity to race on the street as well as the strip. In the last few years we met annually in October where Rick was faithful in attending. I last saw Rick at my brother Jim's funeral visitation. I am honored to know him and be known by him. R.I. P.

Rick was a good guy. When he would call on the phone he always would say "morning sunshine". I worked with Rick for over 20 years. Enjoyed picking on each other. He always made sure iif he was on duty on April 17 he would take a vacation day so he could spend the day with Jennifer.
