Richard "Rick" Earl Stevens

Richard "Rick" Earl Stevens passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, on February 26, 2020 at the age of 70. A son of Richard and Dora (nee Wakely), he was born on November 8, 1949 in Detroit. Rick attended St. Paul High School before earning his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Xavier University and his Masters in Business Administration from Wayne State University. Rick started his career in the claims department at All State Insurance Company and turned his experience there into a lifelong career as a claims negotiator/investigator for both plaintiff law-firms and insurance companies, and was respected equally by both.

Rick will be remembered as an active and friendly man. He enjoyed coaching softball and was passionate about all sporting events involving his children.

Beloved husband of Kim (nee Mikus). Loving father of Brent (April), Craig, and Ashley. Cherished grandfather of Greyson and Beckett. Caring owner of his dog, Rocky.

A visitation for Rick will take place on Monday, March 2, from 1:00 to 8:00 pm with a 7:00 pm scripture service at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Woods, 48236. Rick will lie in state on Tuesday, March 3, from 10:00 am until time of funeral Mass at 10:30 am at St. Clare of Montefalco, 1401 Whittier Rd, Grosse Pointe Park, 48230.
