Robert Eugene Sova

Robert Eugene Sova, age 87, died September 26, 2012 at Harbor Chase Assisted Living in Sterling Heights, Michigan. He was born September 29, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Edward and Laura (Roberts) Sova. Robert was a retired journeyman mechanic for General Motors. Robert was a veteran of the United States Army and received the following citations; World War 11 Victory Medal, American Theater ribbon, EAME Theater Ribbon with 5 Bronze Stars, a good conduct medal, Purple Heart Medal, Meritorious Unit Award with 1 Bronze Cluster. Robert was predeceased by his wife Janette M. in 1975. He is survived by his children; Joanie (Bruce) Alluvot, Sharon (Davey) Moskal and Wende (Todd) Crowton. Loving and proud grandfather of 5 and 3 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Jeannie Ollila, Benny Corriveau, Verna Sameul. Loving companion for many years to Vivian Aylesworth. Visitation Friday 2PM-9PM with a funeral service Saturday 10 AM at the funeral home. Memorials to Alzheimer's Association appreciated by family.
