I still miss him everyday. As he was my son I pray to God I will see him very soon.

Jim and Lena, We will miss Bobs' smiling face and his happy ways.....As we look across the street now we'll miss the blue car parked there every night when he stopped at your house. We always got a big wave or a visit no matter how busy Bob was. You can be so proud of Bob .........he is the epitome of the perfect friend and gentleman , a reflection on both of you and how you raised him. I have known Robert since grade school. When I think of Robert I will always smile, he always was able to make me laugh and smile. He is now an Angel watching over all us.

I have known Robert since middle school. He was always a great friend. My heart goes out to his family and friends he will be greatly missed. God bless the family and all who knew him. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Robert was the best uncle and friend anyone could ask for. He was there for me whenever I needed somebody to talk to. Somehow he always had a good answer for everything I asked; How to fix this or that on my car, how to fix things around the house, or how to be a real man. Robert always told me how proud he was of me every time we talked. He was always concerned with making sure my mom and I was happy and that I was taking care of my family here at home. I admire and look up to Robert in more ways than he knew and Im very sad that I never got to tell him that. I will use all the tools of his that he gave me to build great things, just like he did. I will drive his car that he gave me to spectacular places and make endless memories in it, just like he and all his friends did. And I will wear his pea coat that he gave me with pride and confidence as I continue on in life with the lessons and traits I have learned from him. I love you so much uncle, and I will always be thinking of you.

You were such a great part of my life Robert. You were the little brother I never had. You encouraged me at times that I thought I would not make it. I am sorry I let things happen and lost myself in my world and in turn lost a bunch of memories we could have continued to create with you, Liz and Todd. I thought of you often and will miss you forever. I love you my friend and I pray for the day I will hug you in Heaven. Sleep well my friend.

Rob was a great friend to both my brother and I. A hard worker and a multi-talented man who was always right there with a joke and a laugh any time you needed one... You rarely find that much love and generosity in one being. He will be deeply missed. My sincerest condolences to the family and know your not alone in your loss. Robert was truly a genuine person. I knew him to be liked by all those you knew him as he was sincerely kind and just fun to be around. He made you laugh out loud and had a great smile! As saddened as I was to hear of his passing I can only offer my condolences for his family and loved ones for whom I'm sure must be heartbroken. I believe his light was too bright to fade and will shine through all of those who loved and knew him. He will live on through all of us who will remember him and his beautiful soul. There times in life someone or something will leave an impact in your life & dont even know how it will affect you until it does. Robert Steu did that for me. I knew him in high school. He was good looking, popular & smart. I was just glad I had the same classes with him. Back then, he has this light that just shines through. I didnt see this shine until I saw him again on our 20 year Madison High School reunion. We actually spent some time talking and catching up surrounded by our fellow classmates. I felt like I knew him all my life. That was Roberts effect on me and everyone that knew him; guess being a Senator carry that prestige. Theres so many things that I wished I coulda, shoulda, and woulda when I heard of his passing. I was looking forward to seeing his smiling face on our next reunion. I will miss you very much Robert. My biggest regret is that I didnt get to tell you that you are thought of and that I cared. May you rest in peace and God bless you!

This coming Sunday, I will place a request for Robert to be mentioned in our mass at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church here in Portland. You were my first crush, and i remember fixing you dinner and it hurts to know your gone:( after all this time.

I love you uncle Bobby, you will be missed and never forgotten. You were the most caring, helpful, and lovable man, and you always gave great advice that I will carry with me forever.

I am so missing my brother right now and cannot believe it to be true. I am so empty inside but trying to make it thru. This is too early to leave us with so many years ahead to enjoy the accomplishments of our lives. Todd is so sad not to have his uncle to call on the phone for advice about life but knows that you knew he would graduate and become a wonderful adult in this world. Rob-you were a stand up guy--always loyal, always generous, always caring. Many people will miss you.

I so regret not spending more time with my cuz "little bobby". He was always little bobby to me. Such a caring and loving and handsome young man. I know you are now enjoying seeing my daddy, and your Uncle Bob, two great men gone way to soon from us all! I love you both!

Just seems like yesterday I gave you my car, helped you pack, and hugged you goodbye for your trip back home. Never did I think it was the last time Zoe and I saw your smile. You were my closest friend and I can never thank you for you just being you. You will be in my life forever. Zoe and I as well as many others will feel blessed to say you were a friend. I miss you for you. Your kindness is what I will always remember. Zoe and I will think of you often as we fish at our secret spot that we spent so much time at. I will miss all that we enjoyed doing together but will do them now with you in my mind. Bless you Rob, you were a true friend!
