Joe married Marlene (Albrecht) on September 21, 1962. This September would have been their 64th wedding anniversary.
He was a resident of Grosse Pointe Woods for over 50 years. Joe was a life-long member of Bethany Lutheran Church in Detroit.He was known for his unwavering dedication to his Church. He was a charter member of the Lutheran Choralaires and was an active participant until a few years ago.
Joe's hobbies through the years were fishing, hunting, tennis, travel (with the Nomads) and an avid golfer.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 8th from 10:00 am until the time of his funeral at noon at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave, at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. He will be interred at Forestlawn Cemetery in Detroit.
