

Ronald Wayne Bareis, age 83 of Warren, passed away June 5, 2018. He was born in Eureka, Wisconsin on August 18, 1934; the son of Herbert and Viola (nee Moldenhauer) Bareis. The day following his graduation from high school, Ron enlisted in the United States Airforce to serve his country from January 20, 1953 until his honorable discharge on January 19, 1957. Amongst many things, Ron worked as a Machine Builder and Repair Specialist for the automotive supply companies. His skilled knowledge of fixing things carried over as a passionate hobby into his retirement years. Ron was known as Mr. Fix It and loved to work on lawnmowers, snow blowers, electrical tools and much more. He was often found collecting items from the recycle center, overhauling them and giving them away. Having grown up in Wisconsin, Ron loved the Green Bay Packers, but also enjoyed the Detroit Red Wings. He was an avid golfer and collected golf balls throughout his games. Ron also cherished a great dessert. Ron is dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his family, friends and neighbors. Beloved husband of the late Patricia for 50 years. Loving father of Susie (Frank) Genco, David (Suzie) Bareis and Diane (Chuck) Martin. Proud grandfather of Frankie & Brandon Genco, Steven, Kimmy and Kayla Bareis and also Ashley (Michael) Weber. Rons family will receive friends on Friday, June 8th from 2:00pm until 8:00pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile), Warren. A funeral ceremony will military honors will take place on Saturday, June 9th at 10:00am at the funeral home. Pastor Larry Allen will officiate. A committal service will be held on Monday, June 11th at 10:00am at Christian Memorial Cultural Center in Rochester Hills. Memorial contributions to Warren Woods Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
