

Ronald F. Titus, age 58, died unexpectedly on June 7, 2016. Ron was born in Detroit on July 22, 1957; the son of Arthur, Jr. and Katherine Titus. He grew up in East Detroit and graduated Notre Dame High School in Harper Woods in 1975. He continued his education and received his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from the University of Detroit. During his professional life, Ron worked for several companies. Most recently, he was a principal and architect at Titus Associates PC (formerly Aggro Bravura Constructs) from 1997 to present. He was formerly associated with Sims-Varner Associates from 1994 to 1997 as Director of Construction Administration; Midwest Steel, Inc. from 1990 to 1994 as a project manager; and Allied Building Services, Inc. from 1983 to 1989 as a designer. He was also an Adjunct Faculty member at the University of Detroit Mercy from 1994 to 2004. The Ronald F. Titus Digital Studio at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Architecture was named in his honor. Professionally, he was a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Environmental Design Research Association. Ron is survived by his four siblings, Timothy (Deborah), Kenneth, Daniel (Josephine) and Mary Chris Chapp (Michael). He was the uncle of Marissa, Matthew, Dana, Colette and Alex; and stepfather of Sean Astrakhan. He was predeceased by his parents; Arthur, Jr. and Katherine Titus. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 14 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 21620 Greater Mack, St. Clair Shores. The family will receive friends at the church after 6 pm. Monsignor G. Michael Bugarin will officiate.
