I met Ron in 1977. We dated for 6 months. I found out about his passing after the funeral and couldn't attend. I met his parents and his brothers and sisters and they were wonderful people. He will always be very special to me and he was a real good man and a gentleman. He always told me he was going to die in his 40's. I'm glad to see he had a child and grandchild and made it to his 50's. Rest in peace Mudslide, I will always remember you...

My heart and so many prayers are with the Brdak family and friends/ I did not have the pleasure to meet you all but trust me I have heard all great things!Jason and Stephanie I did get the pleasure to meet you and even baby Chloe. Ron loved you all so much. Adeline, I loved meeting you and what a fine job you did with Ron as I can't tell you how much he adored you.I feel like I will never have closure because Ron once said, " will you come to my funeral", and of course I would just tell him to shut-up, I did not want to hear it. I found Monday and it was to late and I'm so sorry Ron I could not make it. I will miss our all night phone conversations even after I moved to Floida. We have laughed and have even cried and had alot of great times. I know now that you my friend will have no more tears. May you rest in peace, as I shed a few more tears untill we meet again. Ron was my first boyfriend, we dated for several years then we eventually married on June 2, 1975. We shared many memorable moments, in our relationship. My heart goes out to the Burdak family, may he rest in peace.

That Joy is the moment that Jesus came for your dad to take him home. It may have been a long time ago that your dad believed or it may have been in that one moment when Jesus came when he acknowledged the gift of eternal life but either way there is JOY in that moment for your dad and for you. That joy is his return to HIM, our Heavenly Father, who loves us beyond anything we could ever comprehend in a relationship full of forgiveness and compassion. I love you so much Jason and I am here for all of you - no matter what you need, whenever you need it. When you don't know where to go or what to do, look up and just talk. HE will hear your prayers and while the answer to them may not always be what you want, God knows best and will answer them in the way He knows is best for you. Just trust Him.

Learn from his life and be the best dad you can be to Chloe. Live the rest of your days to continue to make your dad proud. He is always with you, always in your heart. I'm praying for all of you and I continue to pray that your dad accepted God's grace and made it through those heavenly gates where he feels no sorrow and no pain but will live for eternity in happiness and peace. Someone said to me recently "Scripture tells us that the reward of heaven is there whether we believe for a whole lifetime or just an instant." The bible also promises victory over death. It also says "Weeping may endure for a night, But joy comes in the morning." Psalm 30:5

I keep saying the hardest part about being a big sister, isn't dealing with bratty siblings when you're a kid, it's standing by their side when you're "all grown up" knowing there isn't a thing in the world I can do to take this pain away from you. You're dealing with my own personal biggest fear, losing my dad and I can't imagine the broken heart you're managing. You make me so proud of you every single day and I know your dad was just as proud of you for the man you've become. Be proud of your dad for the man he was, which was someone who always made everyone feel welcome and a friend. Remember that laugh of his and that sense of humor unique only to him. He really was the life of a party and was always smiling, joking and making sure everyone was having fun. Celebrate the joy he brought to the lives of many. Celebrate the love he shared with friends and family.

DAD, Thank you for being my BEST friend. You have been absolutely the best father and role model a man could ask for. You have done a fantastic job. My love for you is so deep words cannot explain it. Chloe loves you so much and I know what she means to you. U are such a proud man of us and I thank you so much for that. I thank you for always being right there for us. No matter what you will always be my right hand man. Now you get to finally rest. Have fun up there and I can't wait to see you again down the road. DAD I LOVE YOU and am very proud of you.

I only knew your father through occasionally talking to him or maybe shooting a game of pool at the bar (TJ's, in Detroit) that we hung out at in our early 20's. I always considered him to be the epitome of "cool," though- always dressed meticulously in black, always with a black vest, and flawless hair. I kidded him every now and then that he was the closest thing to being "The Fonze" of anyone I knew. The thing I remember most, though, is when his son was born. Although I would not have offhand guessed him as the "fatherly" type, you could see the dramatic change in him. I can still see the look of great joy on his face; he said with a big smile and real emphasis, "my whole life has changed." I haven't seen Ron since those days- around 30 years- but I have no doubt whatsoever that he's been the best father and grandfather. Rest in peace, Ron.
