Rose "Libby" Elizabeth Jenkins

Rose "Libby" Jenkins passed away the evening of September 26, 2015 surrounded by her children in her home of 65 years. Libby was the daughter of the noble Samuel and Mary Edna (nee Abel) Buckman of Waverly, Kentucky. She was the very cherished wife of the late James W. Jenkins Sr. for 70 years. Dearest Mother to James Jr. (the late Peggy), Ray (Shirley), Lawrence (Harriet), Edna (Daniel) Shaw, Elizabeth (Larry) Meakem, Tim (Annette) and Dennis (her keeper to the end). A caring and giving grandmother to 16, great-grandmother of 40 and great-great-grandmother of 2. She is predeceased by her son, Thomas; great-grandchildren, Noah and Marissa; and her siblings, Polly, Andy, Joe, John, Burch, Ann and Sister Samuella. A sincere and loyal friend of Leona Webb, Katherine Christian and the late Gladys Edberg. Libby's life of humility, appreciation and service will be celebrated at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile), Warren on Thursday, October 1, 2015 from 2:00pm until 9:00pm. Family and friends will meet at St. Pio of Pietrelcina of Roseville (Sacred Heart Catholic Church), 18430 Utica Road., Roseville on Friday, October 2, 2015. Instate at 9:30am until time of Mass 10:00am. Interment with a brief committal service will take place immediately following Mass at Sacred Heart Cemetery.
