Ryan was the beloved son of Debra Maliszewski and the late Daniel Vasser. He was a loving brother to Randy Vasser and his wife, Jackie, and Renee Mullen and her husband, Rob; a cherished uncle to Brendan Vasser; and the devoted fiancé of Toshiko Hirano.
Ryan proudly served his country in the United States Navy for 18 years. Throughout his military career, he was stationed in Norfolk, Virginia, served tours in the Middle East and Naples, Italy, and spent five years at Naval Air Facility Atsugi in Japan. His service took him around the world and became an important part of his life and the story he shared with those around him.
Outside of his military service, Ryan had a love for sports, especially baseball. He also enjoyed geocaching and the adventure of discovering new places. Above all, Ryan treasured the time he spent with his family and friends. He had a way of creating lasting memories through the places he explored, the experiences he shared, and the time he gave to the people he cared about.
Ryan will be remembered for his adventurous spirit, his love of family and friends, his dedication to his country, and the many memories he created throughout a life that carried him across the world while always keeping those closest to him at heart.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, fellow service members, and all whose lives he touched. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
