Sam Fittante

A proud Army Veteran, Sam was a decorated WWII Veteran - 63rd Infantry Division of the Army known as the “Blood and Fire” division. He served in France and Germany and received Purple Heart and French Legion of Honor medals in November 2010. These medals were delayed while trying to track down Army records. Upon his discharge, Sam settled down and married the love of his life Mary Aulicino, April 24, 1954, and they remained married for over 65 years, and raised three children together. He remained deeply in love with Mary even after her passing on March 1, 2020.

Sam is predeceased by his parents, beloved wife Mary, dear son Michael Fittante, and siblings Louis Fittante, Angeline Canale, Annette Krans, Joseph Fittante, and Mary Jacobson. He will be deeply missed by his remaining children, Rose Locricchio, and Laura (Bret) Jacobowitz and grandchildren, Jessica (Brandon Rymas) Pfeiffer, and Mary (Donald) Wilcox. he will also be missed by his great-grandchildren Jayden Frisby, Flint Wilcox, and Sam Rymas.

A private family gathering will be held for Sam, with a Memorial to celebrate his life at a later date. Please share a memory on our guest book.
