This is so very sad. My deepest condolences and prayers for the Kocik family and everyone that loves and knew Sarah. 
I met Sarah when I was in 8th grade, Amy was dating my brother.  Then high school came and I got to know her much better. We did silly things together with Leigh and Tina for years. We had so much fun even doing nothing.  We lost touch after that, but found ourselves together having lunch, reminiscing and laughing about 5+ years ago. 
I will never forget her smile, laugh and her love for her babies.

Oh, Sarah,

It's unfathomable that you've already left this earthly world. As I try to grasp this reality, I find myself listening to a lot of Beatles, and thinking of you. Every song reminds me of you. The background to a thousand memories shared. 

You really were a sister. We spent so many days together, the mundane and exciting. You were a part of my family, and your family mine. We spent summers looking for fun and winters trying  to get by, which we did with endless laughter, stupid ideas and lots of music. We spent holidays together and I'm pretty sure Mo even grounded you too.

We made so many videos. The way you portrayed Mary Jo Buttafuoco's facial paralysis, was Oscar worthy and  has me laughing so hard, decades later.  When we used meatballs as muppets and choreographed them to "Staying Alive".  The Limi Ted T-shirt.  Going to Woodstock with all the Kocik kids.  I can only see it as a blessing,  to be so sad that you've passed, and yet every memory I think of, leaves the biggest smile on my face. Thank you for being a constant in my youth, and my chosen family. 

Beyond grateful that we got to catch up not that long ago. You  literally beamed with pride talking about Oscar and Olivia. It  fueled my heart, and we promised we'd catch up again, very soon. Hate this reminder about how fast, fleeting and fragile life can be. 

For your family, I am absolutely gutted. I literally want to run across the country and hold them so tight.  Wish there was something I could say or do to ease this devastating pain. Your absence is irreplaceable.  Hope they are leaning hard on everyone who is there to support them as they navigate this untimely loss and overwhelming grief. Oh my heart

Sarah, this is certainly not goodbye. In fact, you'll be hearing from me a lot more now. Until we reconvene, I'll be forever grateful for every memory made.

2016.  I wish we could redo this night.  Non stop laughing like we were in high school.   I miss Sarah. I miss this.  I miss this time.

Our hearts are broken as we mourn the loss of Sarah.
Sarah and Todd shared a love that was truly special. Todd was the love of her life, and she was the love of his. As Todd's family, we were blessed to have Sarah become part of ours as well.
Sarah had such a beautiful spirit. She brought joy to every family gathering and always seemed to light up the room with her smile. She made a lasting impression on all of us, and we will cherish those memories forever.
Sarah was family, and she always will be.
