She left her career in 1991 to join her husband Gene in retirement. They loved to travel together even living on Hilton Head Island until moving back to the Shores in 2000.
Sharon and Gene loved to hit the road in their motorhome and visited every state in the Continental U.S. . They have fond memories of their time spent in Cumberland Falls KY and Florida. For over a decade they have wintered in Nokomis at the Royal Coachman Resort where they made so many new friends. Sharon was an avid tennis fan and player; she liked to decorate her home for the holidays and was a very good cook who enjoyed the challenge of a new recipe. Sharon loved spending time at the beach or at the resort pool and had a passion for her special cruises with Gene and friends.
Sharon was a proud member of the choir at St. Michael's Episcopal Church from her youth into adulthood. She will be interred at the cemetery at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Grosse Pointe Woods Mi later this spring, to be followed by a Celebration of Life gathering, details forthcoming.
