Shawn Marie Cerrasco

Shawn Cerrasco passed away on August 20, 2018 at the age of 47. She was born on October 12, 1970 at St. John Hospital in Detroit. She was a 1988 graduate of Bishop Gallagher High School. Shawns attention to detail enabled her to be a well respected underwriter for Mortgage One. She was a lot of fun to be around. She loved a variety of music genres including heavy metal. In her spare time, Shawn acted in plays. She was described as a "Warrior" by family members. Her selfless nature allowed her to be there for anyone at anytime. Her biggest love in life was spending time with her family. She will be missed by her loving and devoted husband Phil. She adored and was very proud of her twin sons Benjamin and Gabriel. She was loved by her parents Sheila (Joe) Kirby, and Robert (Margaret) Starke. Shawn was the dear sister of Jessica (Jim) McKenzie, Scott Starke, Nicole (Scott) Kissik, and Joseph (Amanda) Starke. She will be missed by numerous loving extended family members. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., at Vernier Rd., Grosse Pointe Woods. Her funeral service will be held on Friday at noon at the funeral home.
