My memories of Shirley will always be of celebration. The dinner's at the Polish Village in Hamtramack, her big, wonderful laugh, her dignity in time of crisis, and the unconditional love in which she welcomed us into her family. I take from our time together lessons in love, generosity and a life well lived.

Shirley was a dear friend of mine and we enjoyed many good times, over the last 20 years.As we grew closer,she became part of the family and attended many important times. Shirley will be missed very much and will always be in my heart. I will miss the conversations and the time we spent together.Especially the Breakfast's at the pancake house.

Shirley - a wonderful friend - I will miss her terribly - memories of many great times together and the love an support that she gave me at difficult moments in my life...I cherish her friendship, loyalty and admire the strength she has shown during these past years in fighting her illness...She was a loyal friend to my daughter and myself - truly a role model -- her passing has left a very large hole in my heart...A wonderful woman who loved her family - fought the fight so she might spend more time with them....I will truly miss my very good friend......Darlene H

30 years togeather, 2 to 3 times a week, have come and are now sadly gone.My Children and Grandchildren wouldn't think of a holiday or any event without you because you are and always will be part of the family.I miss you my friend. Knowing you when I arrive you will give me a day to settle in then want your hair done. Love you.

Aunt Shirley (that's what I called her too!) is going to be remembered as a joy too be with-one of the girls! Her humor, stories, and legendary "Major Domo" role at Mihelich and Kavanaugh, PLC will not be forgotten. I loved knowing you Aunt Shirley. -Anthy

It never seems fair when someone is taken from us, especially when they are as sweet and wonderful as Aunt Shirley. We are all extremely lucky though that we got to spend time with someone as witty, honest, loving, and thoughtful as she was. It was a pleasure to see you every time Aunt Shirley, and I know you're just preparing the cheese ball and cucumber salad for the greatest reunion party ever. I love you!

To my very special friend who will remain in my heart forever. It was my pleasure to have cared for you these past two years. We shared lots of laughs, a few tears and many good times together. I think this memorial should be a joyful one, and not mournful one. We, after all, have to keep in mind whose life we are celebrating and what she would have preferred. For myself, I will remember a woman of generous spirit, style, and humor. Although her final weeks were clouded by illness, that burden has been lifted. She is herself again. In the words of Carl Sandburg: Not always shall you be what you are now. You are going forward toward something great. I am on the way with you and therefore  I love you.

Shirley was a great fighter and proved that to the end ... generous and funny, loyal to her family ... my condolences to all of you and to my dear friend Denise who cared for her in good times and bad ,,, Blessing of the Lord to all ... Geri

Aunt Shriley was my best friend and my second mom. She inspired me with her courage, strenght and tenacity, and she maintained her grace, beauty and sense of humor to the very end. I miss you so much, Aunt Shirley. But, wherever you've gone, I'll see you there. Love always and forever from the daughter you never had.

I have many fond memories of time spent with Aunt Shirley especially over the last several years during the holiday's. We all shared laughs, hugs, and great conversation, May she rest in peace.
