Sonja J. Craner

Sonja Janette Craner, age 77 of Hazel Park, passed away April 11, 2017. She was born in Detroit on December 30, 1939; the daughter of Burt Carl and Nora Elizabeth (nee Thurston) Sunde. Sonja spent most of her life devoted to her family as a homemaker. Her dedication to helping family was also evident in the years she spent working with her sisters and nieces at their family restaurant, Sunde's Brunch. At Sunde's, the food and pies were always homemade. Sonja had great faith in God and plentiful relationships with cherished friends. She loved selling Avon and enjoyed using her talents at painting, crocheting and various home craft projects. Beloved wife of the late Marvin. Loving mother of Renee (Brad) Steuart, Kimberly Beach, Natalie (Terry) Franko, Donald Beach, Marnie (Charles) Hart and the late Marvin(surviving wife Cindy). Treasured grandmother of Tawny, Taylor Hart, Madigan Franko, Alyssa and Devon. Proud great-grandmother of Anthony and Lily. Dear sister of ten. Also survived by many caring nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Sonja's family will receive friends on Monday, April 17th from 3:00pm until 9:00pm with a service at 7:00pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr at Masonic (13-1/2 Mile), Warren. A committal service will take place at Logan Township Cemetery in Logan Township on Tuesday, April 18th at 1:00pm.
