Sophia Dorothy Metzger, age 84, died February 29, 2012 at McLaren Macomb Hospital, Mt. Clemens, Michigan. She was born April 19, 1927 to the late David and Maria (Held) Metzger in Detroit, Michigan. Dorothy, as she was known by her friends and family, retired from the First State Bank of Eastpointe where she worked as a teller. Dorothy is survived by her sister Marie Taszarek of Warren and brother David Metzger of Shelby Township. She is also survived by several nieces. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 6th at 11:00 am, St John Lutheran church, 16339 Fourteen Mile, Fraser, Michigan, with Rev. Bradley A. Smith.
