Sophie M. Corby

Sophie Corby (Nee Lawrence) was born May 6, 1924 in Chicago IL to Steve and Agnes. Sophie entered into rest September 14, 2017 in Port Charlotte, FL. A joy to be around, Sophie was always smiling and making new friends with whoever crossed her path. Even on a bad day Sophie brightened the lives of those around her. She enjoyed reading and loved to Roller-skate. Sophie is predeceased by her husband William. She will be deeply missed by her children Sharon Freeman, Bill (Marin) Corby, and Kevin (Pearline) Corby and her grandchildren Sean and Dawn Freeman. Visitation for Sophie will be Thursday September 21, 2017 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Rd, at Masonic ( 13 Mile rd.) with a Scripture Service at 7:00pm She will lie in state Friday September 22, 2017 from 9:00am until the time of Mass at 9:30 at St. Rene Goupil, Catholic Church, 35955 Ryan Rd, Sterling Heights, MI 48310.
