To Jan,Paul and Holly, our sincere condolences. Julie and I were saddened at the sudden loss of our dear friend and my Chi Psi fraternity brother Stu. We were in the same 1958 Class. When Stu was doing his clinical work in the U of M Dental School in 1959, he did a gold inlay on my lower right molar and inscribed his initials and date on the underside. Dentists I've seen since always remark about the exceptional quality of workmanship. Fortunately for me, I'll always have Stu with me.

Dear Paul and Maureen: My heart goes out to you on the loss of your father. May it comfort you to know that you father's love will never cease to shelter you.

To the love of Stu's life.....Jan, Paul,Holly, Henry & Madeline Stu loved you so very much. We ,who shared Deer Camp, Grouse camp, & Trout Camp with him these past 45 years can attest how proud he was of all of you and how much he enjoyed just being with you. You were never far from his thoughts and conversation. I need not tell you that he was a great person.....kind, caring, and a true gentleman. His passing leaves such a void !! I cannot believe he's gone. One of my best friends......

The passing of Uncle Stu is a huge loss for anyone who knew and loved him. I will always remember all the time I was able to spend with him in my life. From Stu and Jan Whipping Holly and I at Horseshoes during Turtle Camp, the 4th of July parties and Sailing the day after, all the family gatherings and wonderful Thankgiving Feasts at the Smith house. I can only hope I can live my life and be the kind of Husband and Father that Stu was. His life is a testimonial to living life to the fullest extent possible and I will miss him dearly. My heart go's out to the family who have suffered this tremondous loss.

Dr. Smith was the most kindest and caring person I have ever known. My husband, children and I thought the world of him. We became patients of his when he came out of the service and took over his father's dental practice. It was an honor to know someone of such character and kindness. My husband used to tease him about his convertible in back of his office. What a wonderful man.

I was very shocked to hear about Uncle Stu's passing away. I am sure his stories by the Turtle Camp campfire,his adventurous spirit and humor will be sorely missed by family and friends but will always live on in our memories. Much love to his family during this difficult time.
