

Susan Adell Harris (nee Cool) passed away on September 21, 2020 in Grosse Pointe Woods at the age of 86. A daughter of Leland and Blanche (nee Wright), she was born on June 10, 1934 in Stockbridge. Susan devoted herself full-time to raising her children followed by working as an assistant to a university president. She also worked several years at General Motors. Susan participated in various outdoor sports for over 40 years as a member of the Lost Lake Woods Club. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Beloved wife of the late John Harris. Cherished mother of Daniel Duval, Steven (Jennifer) Duval, Tamme (Bill) Cowan, and Tracy (Mary) Duval. Proud grandmother of Rachel, Danielle, Taylor, Nicole, Colton, Andrew, and Kurtis. Dear sister of Max, Dorothy, Darryl, Donna, and Leland, all predeceased. Loving aunt to (Joan, Bill, Dave, Dick), (Charlie, Mike, Mary, Priscilla, Darryl, Bill, Cindy), (Michaele, Leland, Ronnie), (Donald, Ken, Roger and Gregg). Doting mother of Charlie the Maine Coon cat.
Susan was a gifted musician, talented seamstress, quilling artist, exceptional knitter and embroiderer, ceramic painter and writer. She was also queen of caring for the forest animals. She was also an extraordinary cook and baker. She was one beautiful woman who got things done!
