Terrance Henninger was born in Detroit on June 30, 1943. He was a member of De La Salle High School class of 1961. He and Mary Jane married in Detroit in 1964 and together they raised three daughters. Terry(as he liked to be called) took great pride in raising his three daughters. Terry was a real family man, and his family meant the world to him. He especially loved the time he had with all four of his grand children. Besides enjoying time with his extended family and friends, Terry was a real animal lover and at one point showed dogs and was a breeder of tropical fish. He took care of his wife Mary Jane throughout her long and challenging illness until her death in 2004. He loved his tiny cat and his dog and they seemed to know it, like many animals, because they stuck to him like glue. He spent the last decade of his life bravely and courageously fighting a multitude of medical conditions of which he came out a survivor. It took a lot from him, but nothing like his new found battle with Cancer, which only lasted a mere 30 days. Terrance is survived by his daughters Kerry Henninger, Kristin Henninger (James Wieme) and Katie Enright (Edward); his grandchildren Taryn and Meghan Smerecki, Ashlyn and Brecken Enright. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law Maureen OConnor (the late Michael), Colleen OConnor (James Triano), Shannon Cheek (Douglas), Erin Loftis (Kevin), and Maureen Hubbell (Bruce). He is predeceased by his wife Mary Jane and his parents. Funeral Service Tuesday 12 Noon at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods. Visitation Monday 2-9 pm with a Rosary 4 pm.
