

Thomas M. Furay, age 70, died at his home in Detroit, MI on Wednesday February 10, 2021. The second oldest of 9 children, Tom grew up on Detroit’s east side where he graduated from Bishop Gallagher High School in Harper Woods.
He spent his career in the service industry where his affable, friendly, and kind nature was enjoyed by all those he served and worked with. In addition to spending time with his family Tom loved to fish the Detroit river and Lake St. Clair sharing his catch with family and friends. He was an avid reader, especially of Science fiction, enjoyed
watching movies and could always be counted on to lend a helping hand to family, friends and neighbors. His positive and happy nature were his guiding light, he will be missed by all who know and love him.
Tom was predeceased by his parents Jean and Josephine Furay and his brothers Robert Furay and Charles Furay. He is survived by his brothers Joseph (Lucille) Furay and Donald (Marilyn) Furay and sisters Mary (David) Lemon, Frances (David) Van
Gessel, Debra (Daniel) Howells and Carol Furay, sister in-law Christine Furay and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.
