Vasilios Thomopoulos was born in Andritsaina, Greece on January 12, 1927 and entered into rest August 2, 2015 in Detroit at the age of 88. He was the loving husband of Marie and beloved father of Pete (Helen), Stella (Perry) Peruzzi and John (Shelley). Vasilios was dearest grandfather of Marika, Artemis, Tessa, Melanie, Billy, Michael and brother of Panagiota (Reverend John) Kotretsos. Vasilios was very proud of his family, his heritage and being a U.S. citizen. Visitation Wednesday 3:00 pm - 9:00 pm with Trisagion at 5:00 pm at the the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan 48236. Funeral at Assumption Greek Orthodox church, 21800 Marter Road, St. Clair Shores; instate 11:00 am until time of service 11:30 am. Father Michael Varlamos to officiate. Burial will be at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Michigan on Thursday August 6th.
