"So Sorry to hear about Vic's passing! Condolences to his wife, Linda & (2) Son's. Vic is remembered as a sincere, 'down to earth' good guy; 'tough' but fair! I watched him 'grow up' in the ranks, during my 39 years in the Catholic H.S. League, both at Harper Woods Notre Dame H.S. and at Notre Dame Prep; and from his coaching days at St. Clement H.S. and as an Assistant under Tom Rashid in the CHSL! 
He also worked with my wife, Jo Lake, on the MHSAA Representative Council for many years, before she retired in 2001. Vic was a great guy.  We were golfing members at St Clair Golf Club. Man of total integrity and concern for others. Always enjoyed his company. He was so positive.  Also knew him as athletic director. He administered as a professional. Will be missed. Bob Forbes

I got to know Vic when he was at St. Clement and I was covering Crusader sports for the local cable company.  He was always gracious with his time, and I have fond memories of working with him and his teams.  We would see each other from time to time after that at various MHSAA events or at Comerica Park, and it was always a pleasure to catch up with him.  Rest in peace Vic.  You will be missed.

Not only was Vic a friend and champion of high school sports across the state and the Catholic League in particular, but he was an unwavering fan of all things Detroit.  I know Opening Day was one of his favorites and I can only imagine he'll have a great vantage point this Spring.  For anyone downtown on that day or any other game at Comerica, tip your cap to Vic!

I pray for the family and their loss of Vic Michaels. Vic was such a great guy!  I always enjoyed seeing Vic at the Catholic League and Detroit Public School girl’s basketball games . His leadership and support of High School sports was vast and so much appreciated!  Even though we weren’t related, I would always say that Vic was my Lebanese cousin and then we’d both laugh! I remember Vic from his high school days at St.Phillip and St. Ambrose.  He was an outstanding leader, husband , father, and man. He is one of the best people I have ever known. He will be missed by thousands. That is how many life's he has touched.
