

Violet Rose Paluch, age 83, a resident of Detroit, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2017 at her home in Detroit. Violet was born on Wednesday, December 20, 1933 in Highland Park, Michigan to Jacob and Mary Balan. Violet proudly owned "Dan & Vi's Pizza" located at 5951 Chene Street in Detroit. Violet retired in 1990 and 25 years of ownership. The pizzeria still remains in the family. She was a member of the 20th Century Club, the Dirty Dozen, and the Boys Club. "She leaves behind a legacy of selfless devotion to family and community. She could sew, knit, crochet, paint, remodel, and fix anything with her ingenuity. She has a strong spirit, the best laugh, and humor. Her favorite past-time was watching her grandchildren play sports, watching Tiger baseball, traveling to Greece and Spain. She enjoyed trips on the Princess Cruise Line to Alaska and around the South America. She worked tirelessly to serve and was a loyal, valiant woman". Beloved wife of the late Daniel J. Paluch. Loving mother of Janice Paluch, Thomas Paluch, and the late Daniel Paluch. Cherished grandmother of six, great-grandmother of five, and dear sister of three. Family will receive friends on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 3-8 PM at the A. H. Peters Funeral Home of Grosse Pointe Woods located at 20705 Mack Avenue at Vernier Road, Grosse Pointe Woods, MI.
