Wayne Thomas Nichols, a resident of Eastpointe, passed away in Detroit on August 1, 2017 at the age of 69. He was born in Detroit on September 25, 1947 to Theodore and Shirley Nichols. Wayne had many hobbies and interests, including kayaking, cross-country skiing, boating, fishing, woodworking, and playing Euchre. He was also an avid "bags" player and maintained a beautiful flower garden. Beloved husband of Linda, who he married on December 8, 1973 in Detroit. Loving father of Heather (Eric) McKinney, Todd (Tammy) Nichols, and Adam Nichols. Cherished grandfather of Joshua, Lexi, Jaclyn, Lauren, and great-grandfather of Elaina. Loved brother of Cathy Hyde.
