William James Doran age 86, died June 25, 2019.William was born in Detroit to Helen and Daniel Doran on May 22, 1933. He graduated from St. Catherine High School in 1951. He served his country in the US Army during the 1950s.He met and married the love of his life Lois and together they built a fine life and were proud of their children and their service to their Catholic faith. Mr. Doran retired from the Detroit News after over 40 years of service. He leaves behind wife Lois, daughter Kathleen (Josh) Churchwell, son Timothy (Amy) Doran. Grandchildren Jay Rogers, Samuel, Emily Doran, Gabriel, Benjamin, Jared Churchwell. Sister Suzanne Bruck and Brother Joseph Doran. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers Daniel and Thomas Doran. Visitation Monday , July 1st 3-9 pm with Rosary at 7 pm, A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road, Warren. Instate Tuesday July 2nd 11:00 am until time of Mass 11:30 am St. Martin De Porres Catholic Church, 31555 Hoover, Warren. Bishop John Quinn will be the Officiating Clergy.
