William Parks Driskell III

William Parks Driskell III also known as "Bill", died on Sunday, September 2, 2018 with family by his side. Bill was 88 years old. He was born on Wednesday, August 13, 1930 in El Paso, Texas. He is the son of the late Katherine (nee Murrah) and William Parks Driskell II. Around the age of 17, Bill started working on the tuna boats trying to support the family. Later, he joined the United States Air Force and served his country during the Koreran War and Vietnam conflict. After the service, he became a mechanical engineer with Continental and then General Dynamics, working for nearly 50 years until his retirement at the age of 77. Bill is the beloved husband of Frances. Loving father of William Driskell IV, Kathleen Driskell, and Rosalynn (Jon) Newberg. Cherished grandfather of Marlo Newberg and Cecelia Newberg. Brother of the late Joseph Driskell, Martha Driskell, and Terry Flores. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and mans best friends Truman and Barkley. Memorial visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2018 from 3:00 pm until time of the memorial service at 7:00 pm at the A.H. Peters Funeral Home, 32000 Schoenherr Road at Masonic, Warren. Pastor Chris Zarbaugh will be officiating. Interment will be held on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 10:30 am at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Memorials to the American Heart Association would be appreciated.
